WITHIN: Never Alone

"There was me and then the truth inside
I knew that it didn't pay to try and hide
For He was there and He always knew
And I tried but none of us can stay true
He would hold me close as I'd cry
When I felt as if I'd die

And I'll never bear the pain alone
For I know I am His own
Though the darkness at times surrounds me
For perfect is something I can't be
And the pain will often be there
Sometimes more than I can bear"

Sometimes It Just Hurts

"Sometimes it just hurts
Being alive
A slap or a word that's curt

You just want to get away
Just for a while
An hour, a day"

Resembles My Insanities

"See this scar?
It resembles my insanities
Resembles how far
I've gone

On my arm
It sits there telling
Of the harm
I brought myself to

See my wrists?
The small red scars
After we kissed
The knife was applied"

Risk Worth Taking

"I thought there was more
More than just words

I thought you cared
Cared about me

I guess we were destined
Destined to fail

I should have seen
Seen all the lies

It's all so hopeless
Hopeless to try"

Not Know Or Not Care

"Does he know
I love him so?
Does he care
About the pain I bear?

He's killing me
Does he see?
I'm dying slowly
I'm his wholly

I'm overwhelmed by tears
Accompanied by my fears
In an endless night
I lose the fight"

~Grace Marshall

How?

"Why am I like this
My emotions all muddled
I'm a mess
Can't stop
Why

I'm so upset at you
Then long for you
Want your arms
Your touch
Kisses

I have to stop this
These letters I send
But I can't
Have To
Stop"

~Grace Marshall
